RICHARD TULIO

President and co-founder, Richard has over 25 years of experience in pharmacy operations and management. His extensive background in pharmacy contracting and purchasing, experience with the pharmaceutical supply chain industry and strong understanding of information technology enable him to lead the development of progressive services for today’s ever changing supply chain environment. Prior to establishing S/T Health Group in 1998, Richard worked with Owen Healthcare (now a Cardinal Health company) in various roles in pharmacy operations and purchasing where he focused on design of systems for monitoring purchasing trends and cost avoidance, project management of new pharmacy operations and developed sales for Owen’s Meditrol automation division.

MICKEY SHIVITZ

Vice-President and co-founder, Mickey has over 22 years of business experience focused on sales, marketing and healthcare contract management. Mickey is responsible for S/T Health Group’s sales, marketing and customer relationship activities. Prior to establishing STHG in 1998, he was a Director of Managed Care for OnCare, a national oncology practice management company, an Account Manager, with Healix Infusion Therapy, a Managed Care Specialist with Roche Biomedical Laboratories, and a field sales representative with 3M National Advertising, obtaining Commander Status in 3M’s Lifetime Sales Achievement Club. Mickey graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Advertising.

STEVE PITZER

Vice President of Supply Chain Solutions, Steve joined S/T Health Group in 2012 with over 30 years of experience in supply chain contracting and logistics both inside and outside the Healthcare industry. His results oriented focus includes supply chain management, purchasing process development, automation, standardization of clinical and business practices and strong customer relations leading to cohesiveness of business units. Prior to joining S/T Health Group, he led a 980 million dollar supply chain operation for the CHRISTUS Health System. Additional past experience includes serving as Regional Director of Supply Chain for Columbia HCA as well as working with American Medical International (AMI) where he began his career. Steve is a speaker for trade associations, hospital executive associations and supplier annual meetings and has been recognized by the Journal of Healthcare Contracting as one of the “Top Ten People to Watch”. Steve is a graduate of St. Leo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management.

KYLE H. TOWNSEND, PharmD, MBA, BCPS

Vice President of Customer Success, Kyle is responsible for ensuring that all S/T Health Group customer’s needs are successfully managed.  He joined S/T Health Group in 2020 and has over 18 years of experience in health-system pharmacy operations, business development, clinical pharmacy, and health-system management.  Kyle is a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming where he received both his PharmD and MBA.  Upon graduation from Pharmacy School, Kyle joined the US Navy as an active-duty Pharmacy Officer.  After the Navy and for the 13 years prior to joining S/T Health Group, Kyle held a variety of pharmacy leadership roles with his most recent experience as the Director of Pharmacy at the largest health system in Montana.  He has also been a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) since 2006.  Kyle has a passion for utilizing the clinical knowledge of pharmacists and business analytic tools to identify valuable cost-savings opportunities for health systems.

MARVIN FINNEFROCK, PharmD

Vice President of Health Outcomes, Marvin joined S/T Health Group in 2021 and has an extensive background in clinical and operational pharmacy outcomes. He is a graduate of the USC School of Pharmacy in Southern California and completed a clinical and hospital pharmacy management residency. Marvin worked as a trauma pharmacist before moving to home health and skilled nursing pharmacy management. With his experience as a clinical coordinator and director of pharmacy in leading hospitals, Marvin has developed pharmacy-based ambulatory care models in large physician groups and in transitional care systems. Certifications in asthma management, lipid disorders, smoking cessation, antibiotic stewardship, pain management and anticoagulation, have helped strengthen his interest in always doing the right thing for the patient. Marvin has developed a nationally recognized clinical and purchasing practice and several pharmacy data analytic systems focused on purchasing, clinical, and time savings. Marvin has authored several articles and given interviews regarding pharmacy purchasing and supply chain management with emphasis on data management and cost reduction. His international consulting includes Saudi Arabia, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom.

DAVID WERTZ, R.Ph.

Director of Operations, David joined S/T Health Group in 2006 bringing over 23 years of experience in pharmacy operations, information technology and project management. He is responsible for management of core operations, quality assurance and developing and supporting new growth opportunities. Prior to joining S/T, he was a project manager for Healthlink/IBM on pharmacy operational assessments, system selections and charge master assessments and conversions. He was a founding member of the company’s quality monitoring initiative. Prior to Healthlink, he was a director of pharmacy and director of pharmacy information systems for Owen Healthcare (now a Cardinal Health company). David is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

JOSH MUNDY

Operations Manager, Josh joined S/T Health Group in 2007 with experience in both healthcare and auditing. Prior to joining the S/T team, he was a subject matter expert in the Medicare Part D prescription program with UnitedHealthcare in Roanoke, VA. Before working with UnitedHealthcare, he was an Inventory Control Manager at Movie Starz Video in Roanoke, VA where he was responsible for loss prevention and auditing throughout a regional chain of stores. Josh majored in psychology at James Madison University in Virginia.

ASHLEY STEFFEN

Customer Success Manager (CSM), Ashley joined S/T Health Group in 2022 with over 15 years of experience in customer service and account management. Ashley serves as the main point of contact for S/T Health Group clients, works to identify client’s needs, coordinates appropriately with internal staff, and continuously works to improve the overall customer experience. Prior to joining the S/T team, she was a subject matter expert in the mixed-use side of the 340B Drug Pricing Program for the Avera healthcare system as a Pharmacy Regulatory Analyst. Ashley was also integral to the start-up and success of the Avera Long-Term Care Pharmacy where she was responsible for billing compliance and customer service as the Pharmacy Business Manager. Ashley is a graduate of the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Business Administration and is actively pursuing her Master of Science Administration specializing in Organizational Leadership from the University of South Dakota.

DOINA POPA

Data Analyst, Doina joined S/T Health Group in 2013 with over 6 years of experience in supply chain data processing, data analysis, item master integrity and contract compliance. Doina is responsible for obtaining, organizing and verifying client, vendor and group purchasing contract and membership data used in S/T Health Group’s consulting services. Prior to working with S/T Health Group, she was a CMS – Item Master Specialist for Christus Health, being responsible for the Houston Procurement Center reports, Contract price updates, Item Master maintenance, and training new team members. Doina is a graduate of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics Faculty, within the Academy of Economic Studies – Bucharest, Romania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economic Informatics.

MELISSA CANTU

Data Analyst, Melissa joined S/T Health Group in 2015 with 8 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, 2 years of experience as the Lead Pharmacy Technician/Scheduler and 6 months experience in Pharmacy Informatics.  Melissa is responsible for obtaining, organizing and verifying vendor and group purchasing contract, membership data,  and data analysis that is used in the S/T price verification process.   Prior to joining S/T Health Group, Melissa was a Lead Pharmacy Technician  and Pharmacy Informatics Technician for Harris Health System.  Melissa is currently a student at University of Phoenix pursing a degree in Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Health Information Systems.

DAVID STYERS

Data Analyst, David joined S/T Health Group in 2015 with over 3 years of business administration experience.  David is responsible for cross referencing client and wholesaler data for price verification as well rectifying any discrepancies between the two, and he is also responsible for verifying price verification claims.  Prior to working with S/T Health Group, he was the office manager for Inner Loop Counseling, a private practice counseling office.  David graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business Management.

AARON BLANKENSHIP

Data Analyst, Aaron Joined S/T Health Group in 2019 with over 3 years of Auditing experience. Aaron is responsible for providing 340B auditing services to clients in compliance with HRSA’s 340B Program Integrity Initiative. Prior to working with S/T Health Group, he was a cash application and research analyst for Sullins Johnston Rohrbach & Magers Law Firm, a healthcare, Insurance, and family law practice. Aaron graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Minor in Anthropology.

STEPHANIE LAM

Data Analyst, Stephanie joined S/T Health Group in 2019 with 7 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Omnicare, UnitedHealth Group, and 2 years of experience as a pharmacy buyer and Pyxis Coordinator at Bay Area Regional Medical Center with responsibility for medication inventory management.  Stephanie is responsible for data analysis and quality assurance for S/T Health Group’s price verification and pharmaceutical cost of sales consulting projects.

PAULA SMITH

Data Analyst, Paula joined S/T Health Group in 2021 with 18 years of experience in pharmacy.  She has 2 years as an ambulatory technician, 12 years as a Pharmacy Purchasing Specialist and 4 years as a Pharmacy Business Supervisor with Regional Health in Rapid City, SD.  Paula is responsible for data analysis for the CCR+, Price Verification and TruDat products for S/T Health Group.  Paula holds an MBA, a bachelor’s degree Healthcare Administration and a diploma in the Pharmacy Technician Program.

MELANIE HILL

Business Development Administrator, Melanie joined S/T Health Group in 2022. Melanie has more than ten years’ experience in Business Bookkeeping and more than 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, Office Management & Administrative Services for large and small businesses including Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, Marketing Logix, Therapy Track & Bayou City BBQ Supply before joining S/T Healthy Group. Melanie is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

PAUL STOESSEL

Information Security Manager, Paul came to S/T Health Group in April 2011 and has fifteen years experience in full-service Information Technology and Security. His responsibilities include facilitating the data flow from each departmental phase within the company’s internal processes to developing new technologies that make interfacing with our clients, wholesalers, and vendors more efficient.
